LC Community, I’d like to express my sincere thanks for the fantastic turnout and exceptional support you showed at last night’s Elementary Music Christmas Concert. Your presence brought the holiday spirit to life and made the evening a memorable experience. Before I go any further, I know I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the outstanding work of our new Elementary Music Teacher, Mr. Deveraux. The time, dedication, and creativity he invested this past month—leading our young students, selecting music, and rehearsing tirelessly—truly shone through in their remarkable performance. Mr. Deveraux, what an excellent job. We are blessed to have you at Leverett’s Chapel. Our students gave an outstanding performance, showcasing their hard work, enthusiasm, and growing confidence. Their joy on stage was a powerful reminder of the impact of support and encouragement from both our staff and our broader community. Your warmth, generosity, and engagement demonstrated the unity and caring nature of our LC Family. The sense of togetherness you helped create truly embodies the spirit of the season. LC Community, We still have 18 Angels on our Angel Tree waiting to be adopted, and we need your help to make their holidays bright! The deadline to adopt an Angel and return unwrapped gifts to the school is Tuesday, December 10th. The Angel Tree is located outside Mrs. Thrash's office at the school. If adopting an Angel isn’t an option, we are also accepting monetary donations to help purchase gifts for the Angels. Your support means so much to these children and their families. A Tribute to Coach Daniel Worth Chadwick II It is with heartfelt sympathy and sincere admiration that we honor the memory of Coach Daniel “Dan” Chadwick, a man who made a profound impact on Leverett’s Chapel ISD and the lives of countless students and athletes. Coach Chadwick began his teaching and coaching career here, guiding the 1970 Varsity Football team to a regional championship and establishing a legacy of leadership, inspiration, and dedication. Though I never had the privilege of meeting Coach Chadwick personally, his contributions to our school and community remain a source of pride and admiration for all of us at Leverett’s Chapel. His commitment to education and his tireless support of his students and players remind us of the lasting influence exceptional educators and leaders can have. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. Thank you, Coach Chadwick, for your enduring legacy at Leverett’s Chapel. What an incredible day we had at Leverett’s Chapel’s Thanksgiving lunch! 🍂🦃 We were blessed to serve 93 community members, 25 staff members, and all of the amazing students of LC with delicious food, warm fellowship, and sincere connection. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of community and gratitude. 💛 A very special THANK YOU to the amazing ladies who made it all possible: Ms. Debbie, Ms. Amanda, Ms. Maureen, and Ms. Smith. 🙌 Your hard work, preparation, and dedication made this event such a success. Congratulations to Mrs. Broach's 2nd grade class and Mrs. McClendon's and Ms. Howard's mentor students. They all won the Student Council's Red Ribbon Week door decorating contest. Their prize was an ice cream sundae party!

LC Community, As we approach Veteran’s Day, I would like to take a moment to honor and recognize the veterans within our Leverett’s Chapel family. These individuals have selflessly served our country, defending the freedoms we enjoy today. It is a privilege to celebrate and thank them for their dedication, sacrifice, and commitment. In particular, we extend our gratitude to several veterans who are part of our own school community: Mr. Guthrie – U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force (Retired) Ms. Amaya – U.S. Marine Corps Coach Holley – U.S. Navy Coach Hughes – U.S. Air Force Mr. Stan – U.S. Navy Mr. Borden – U.S. Navy Mr. Chris Ford (Public Address) - U.S. Army These remarkable individuals have dedicated part of their lives to serving our nation, and they continue to inspire our students and community with their commitment and character.
