As many of you know, our district was closed on Thursday, January 9, 2025, due to anticipated wintry weather. To meet the Texas Education Agency’s (TEA) requirement of a minimum of 75,600 operational minutes per school year, we must make up this missed day.
The Leverett’s Chapel Board of Trustees has approved Monday, April 7, 2025, as the designated make-up day. This date was already included in the master school calendar as a contingency for situations like this.
We encourage everyone to mark their calendars and plan accordingly for this adjustment. Thank you for your understanding and support as we work together to prioritize our students’ education and safety.
Go Lions!

This year, you came together in an extraordinary way to adopt 37 Angels off of the Angel Tree and raise nearly $3,000 for this amazing cause. Your generosity and kindness have made a tremendous difference, and I cannot thank you enough.
This incredible effort means the world to me and, more importantly, to the individuals and families whose holidays will now be filled with joy and love because of your contributions. Your actions reflect the true spirit of the season, and I am so proud to be part of a community that embodies such compassion and selflessness.

Yesterday, members of the Student Council handed out Christmas Cards to the residents of the Overton HealthCare Center.

SHAC will be meeting Friday, December 20th at 10:00. SHAC is the school health advisory committee, and everyone is welcome.

Dear LC Community,
With the Christmas break upon us, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on what this season truly represents for our school and our community. We recognize the significance of the birth of Christ—a reminder of hope, love, and the importance of caring for one another. As we celebrate, we are called to show understanding and goodwill toward all, even those who may be difficult to embrace. These values guide us as educators, parents, and community members, shaping the way we nurture our students, families, and one another.
As you spend time with loved ones—sharing meals, stories, and traditions—know that our Leverett’s Chapel family holds you in our thoughts. Let’s enter the New Year committed to learning together, supporting each other, and making a positive impact in every student’s life.
Reminder:
