State Accountability Rating

LC Community-

The Texas Education Agency has released the 2026 A-F Accountability Ratings for public schools across Texas.

Leverett’s Chapel ISD received an overall score of 71, earning a C rating.

Our campus results were:

Elementary: 64, D
Junior High: 75, C
High School: 78, C

I believe it is important to be open and transparent with our parents and community about these results. This is the accountability system the State of Texas uses to publicly evaluate our schools, and we have a responsibility to own our results. At the same time, these ratings do not define Leverett’s Chapel ISD. They certainly do not define the ability or potential of our students, the commitment of our staff, or the strength of our community. There are many things happening every day at LC that cannot be measured by a single test, score, or letter grade.

But that does not mean we ignore the areas where we need to improve. We have work to do, and we know it. We have studied our data, identified areas where our students need additional support, and made changes to strengthen instruction across the district. Our focus is not simply on improving a letter grade. Our focus is on stronger instruction, academic growth, supporting our teachers, and preparing every student for what comes next.

I am proud of our students and staff, but I am not satisfied with where we are. We will continue to look honestly at our results, make the necessary adjustments, and put in the work to get better.

The work continues.

Small School. Big Dreams. Bold Futures.
