Gear up for Success

LC Community-

What an incredible day at our Gear Up for Success event this past Saturday! I just want to say thank you!!!!

Seeing so many of our students, families, staff, and community members come together was truly special. Events like this remind me what makes Leverett's Chapel such a great place. When we work together, there is nothing we cannot accomplish for our kids. First, I want to thank our Leverett's Chapel ISD Board of Trustees for believing in this partnership and supporting this event. Their commitment to creating opportunities for our students and families continues to make a difference, and I appreciate their willingness to invest in programs that strengthen our school and community.

A very special thank you goes to HopeRise Resources, founders Cher and Earnest Randle, and their entire volunteer team, including our very own Mr. Ralph Deveraux (Mr. D). Your partnership with Leverett's Chapel over the past year has been nothing short of amazing. Thank you for believing in our students and for the countless hours you have invested in our community. Your heart for serving others is evident in everything you do. I also want to recognize our own Ms. Bridgette Hughes for the many hours she spent working with HopeRise to coordinate this event. Her hard work behind the scenes helped make Saturday a tremendous success.

Thank you to our Sara White and her LCHS Cheerleaders, Mr. and Mrs. Kaufman, my wife Tambrea, Ms. Kristi, Coach Hughes, and every volunteer who gave their time to serve our families. We appreciate each of you!!

Families enjoyed hot dogs together, students picked up school supplies, and we had a lot of fun giving away LC swag. It was great to see so many smiles throughout the day. A special thank you also goes to Tyler Pipe for being a proud sponsor of this event and for setting up a job fair table. I was excited to see several members of our community complete job applications. That is another example of this event making a positive impact beyond our school.

If you were not able to attend on Saturday and are concerned about school supplies, please do not worry. We have plenty of supplies remaining, and we will make sure every Leverett's Chapel student has what they need to start the school year ready for success.

I could not be more proud of everyone who played a part in making this event happen. It took all of us working together, and because of that, our students and families are better prepared for a great school year.

This is what makes Leverett's Chapel special. It is people coming together with one purpose: doing what is best for kids.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this day such a success.

Small school. Big dreams. Bold futures.
