Welcome Back Letter
2026-2027 School Year
LC Community,
Welcome back! I hope each of you had a wonderful summer and found time to relax, spend time with family, and make great memories. I also know there are probably a few parents who are ready for the first day of school. We are excited to welcome our students back, and we are ready to get started.
There is something special about the first week of school. Our hallways come back to life. Classrooms fill with excitement. Students reconnect with friends and begin new opportunities. I cannot wait to see our students learning, growing, and making memories throughout the year.
I am also looking forward to another exciting year outside the classroom. There is nothing like a Friday night under the lights supporting our Lions. I cannot wait to watch our volleyball teams compete, our cross-country runners push themselves toward new goals, and our band perform with pride. These moments bring our community together and remind us what makes Leverett's Chapel such a special place.
As I begin my 24th year at Leverett's Chapel ISD and my fifth year as superintendent, I continue to be grateful for the opportunity to serve this community. Leverett's Chapel has been home to me for more than two decades. I have seen firsthand what can happen when a community believes in its children. We may be a small school, but there is nothing small about the pride and heart of the people who make up LC.
Our teachers have spent the summer preparing lessons and creating classrooms where students can succeed. Our maintenance and custodial team has worked hard to prepare our campus for another school year. Our principals and office staff have been busy finalizing schedules and helping families get ready for the first day. Every employee has played an important role in making sure we are ready to welcome our students back.
As we begin another school year, our mission remains the same. We will provide a safe learning environment. We will build strong relationships with our students. We will challenge every child to grow academically and personally. Most importantly, we will do everything we can to prepare our students for a successful future.

Thank you for the trust you place in Leverett's Chapel ISD. We are honored to partner with you in the education of your children. I truly believe our best days are still ahead. Together, we are going to make the 2026-2027 school year another great one for our students and our community.
Go Lions!!
