*********NEW UIL REQUIREMENTS********

 

PLEASE READ - APPLIES TO ALL INCOMING 9TH - 12TH

 

The UIL has created 2 new requirements for all UIL Academic and Athletic Participants. Please read the requirements and let Coach Hughes know if there are questions.

 

 

1. All incoming 9th - 12th students must complete the first part of a PAPF before being permitted to participate in Athletic or Academic events. One will be posted that explains it more and has instructions for getting that done. I will also make sure that it gets posted to the SportYou and there will be a copy in the registration packets given out by our office. 2. The UIL now mandates a WBGT (Wet-Bulb Globe Temperature) policy for heat related safety for all athletics taking place outdoors. This is to make sure they are being cared for in our Texas weather. We have always followed a certain common sense approach, but now have a policy in place for the mandate. Here is a copy of that policy.
