Last night, through the partnership of HopeRise Resource Center and the East Texas Food Bank, 49 children received food boxes, and more than 115 individuals were served hot meals.
In a small community like ours, events like this matter. They remind us that when people come together for a common purpose, good things happen. The need is real for many families right now, but so is the compassion and generosity of the people willing to help meet that need.
I want to personally thank Mrs. Cher Randle and her entire team for the tremendous work they continue to do for our community. Their heart for serving others is making a difference in the lives of many families across our area.
Thank you to every volunteer, donor, and supporter who helped make this possible. We look forward to continuing this partnership and serving even more families next week.
