I can honestly say De’Waylon has put together one of the most impressive senior years that I can remember during my time at Leverett’s Chapel ISD. He has represented our district at a high level in academics, athletics, fine arts, and school involvement.
This spring, De’Waylon will compete at the State Solo and Ensemble Contest in band. He advanced to the regional track meet in multiple events. He qualified for the regional powerlifting meet. He also competed at the regional level in cross country.
Beyond the competitions and accomplishments, De’Waylon brought tremendous energy to our campus every single day. Whether it was at pep rallies or school events, he always put on a show with his percussion performances and helped create an atmosphere our students and staff enjoyed.
What stands out most to me is the way De’Waylon approaches everything he does. He works hard. He supports others. He takes pride in representing Leverett’s Chapel. He has been a tremendous example for younger students across our district.
I am extremely proud of De’Waylon and everything he has accomplished. I am also excited about the bright future ahead of him because students with his work ethic, attitude, and leadership are going to be successful wherever life takes them.
Congratulations again, De’Waylon. Your Leverett’s Chapel family is proud of you.
