LC Community-
Leverett’s Chapel ISD is proud to recognize Itzel Mata and Thomas Johnson for being honored by the Henderson Area Chamber of Commerce as the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the Class of 2026. Yesterday, the Henderson Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Education Committee hosted a reception at the Henderson Civic Center to recognize the top graduating students from across Rusk County. During the event, students were introduced and presented with plaques to celebrate their academic accomplishments.
We are extremely proud of Itzel and Thomas. Both students have worked hard to earn this recognition. We are very excited about the bright futures ahead for both students. They have set a great example for younger students across our district, and we know they will continue to do great things in the future.
I also want to thank the Henderson Area Chamber of Commerce for their continued support of the students of Leverett’s Chapel ISD and all students across Rusk County. Opportunities like this remind students that their hard work matters and that their communities believe in them.
Congratulations again to Itzel Mata and Thomas Johnson. Your Leverett’s Chapel family is proud of you.
Small school. Big dreams. Bold futures.
