I want to share some encouraging news about a partnership that will help support the students and teachers of Leverett’s Chapel ISD. The Overton/New London Food Pantry recently secured grant support through the T.L.L. Temple Foundation to help provide classroom and school supplies that will benefit our students and teachers as they prepare for the upcoming school year. Support like this helps ensure our classrooms have the resources needed so students can focus on learning and our teachers can continue the important work they do each day. I have had the opportunity to work closely with Jane Silvey throughout this process. She has invested a tremendous amount of time and effort in pursuing this opportunity and advocating for the needs of local schools. Her dedication to serving the children and families in our communities is clear, and I appreciate the work she continues to do.
Serving our community is very important to me. Partnerships like this reflect what can happen when people come together with a shared commitment to support students and teachers.
