At our recent Board meeting, Trustees reviewed the results of the student and community surveys regarding the potential addition of a soccer program at Leverett’s Chapel ISD. After thoughtful discussion, the Board has directed administration to continue evaluating the feasibility of bringing soccer to LC. No final decision has been made to add the program at this time. Instead, we will begin developing a detailed plan for Board consideration later this spring.
This next phase of work will include reviewing program structure options, staffing needs, financial impact, scheduling, facility readiness, and the overall effect on our existing athletic programs. Our goal is to ensure that any future recommendation strengthens our district and supports student success without compromising the programs we already offer.
I want to thank our Board of Trustees for their leadership, vision, and continued support of opportunities that benefit our students. Their direction reflects a commitment to listening to our community while also maintaining responsible planning and long-term stability.
As we move forward, student outcomes will remain our top priority. We will continue to evaluate this opportunity carefully and transparently, keeping our families and community informed throughout the process.
