GLOBE Scholar Career Expo Vendors Needed
If you would be interested in donating your time to be a vendor at the GLOBE Career Expo on May 21 and or May 22 please contact Ms. McChristian at at Vendors are needed in all areas to discuss their career/trade with the area high school juniors in attendance. Juniors from Longview, Pine Tree, Spring Hill, Gladewater, Harleton, New Diana, White Oak, Leverett's Chapel, Sabine and a few other area schools will be in attendance.
GLOBE Scholar Teacher of the Year
Kim McNeel and Teresa Melton will be honored at the annual GLOBE (Greater Longview Organization for Business and Education) Teacher/Educator of the Year Awards Program on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at 4:00 pm at the Allen Family Student Center at LeTourneau University.
GLOBE Scholar Career Expo
Leverett's Chapel juniors will be attending the GLOBE Career Expo in May. Students will have the opportunity to learn about different careers and the education and training needed to pursue these career choices. The date and time will be announced soon.
Kilgore College Connection Program
Beginning in the Fall of 2019 Kilgore College will begin a new game changing program for dual credit students. Dual Credit students who earn a minimum of 12 semester hours with a 2.0 gpa and attend Kilgore College the Fall semester after high school graduation are eligible for the same 40% tuition discount they receive on dual credit courses when they enroll as a full time student. Students must make progress toward a degree or certificate, complete the FAFSA and KC scholarship application. Additional information can be found at
Dual Credit VIP Day
Kilgore College will host its second annual Dual Credit VIP Day on Saturday, April 27th, 2019. This will give any high school senior who has ever participated in dual credit the chance to complete the admissions process and register for classes before the majority of incoming students.
